The hockey NHL clubs Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild have agreed on a barter.
Kings gets a Swiss striker Kevin Fialan. In exchange, Wild will receive the first round of the summer booking event (19th turn) and the defender Brock Faberin player rights.
Fiala, 25, set her own point record at Wild last season. He scored 33 + 52 = 85 in 82 regular season games.
The Athletic, among others, reports that Fiala immediately signed a big deal with Kings. The striker plays for Kings for seven seasons and has an average annual earnings of nearly $ 7.88 million.
Wild had difficulty reaching an agreement with Fiala due to salary cap problems. GM Bill Guerin argued that in order to keep the club, Fiala should have been able to trade three other players elsewhere.
Fiala has played 419 regular season and 35 playoff games in the Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild during his NHL career. The regular season and the playoffs have become 133 + 165 = 298.
Fiala has represented Switzerland in four World Cup tournaments. Faber, who moves to the Wild trade, was part of the U.S. Olympic team. He has played at the University of Minnesota. Wild booked Faber in the second round in 2020.
