The exact amounts of the bonuses paid by the union to the Lions and Lions will not be decided until later in the spring.

– The International Hockey Federation (IIHF) is always uncertain what compensation they will receive from the International Olympic Committee. That is why they have informed us of two different options, the CEO of the Finnish Hockey Association Matti Nurminen says.

– So called olympic contribution paid in full or in half.

The bonus that players receive through the federation therefore depends not only on the color of the medal, but also on this compensation from the IOC.

– Because of that, we can’t say it with certainty yet. Since it is alive, we are not going to specify any figures, Nurminen states.

– Also at the World Championships, medal bonuses are granulated from the money coming from the IIHF, he explains.

Another bonus

Athletes also receive medal bonuses from the Finnish Olympic Committee.

In individual sports and related team competitions, it costs 50,000 euros for gold, 30,000 for silver and 20,000 for bronze. In the messages, the amounts are distributed among the athletes.

In hockey, the bonuses are 100,000 for gold, 60,000 for silver and 40,000 for bronze.

The female lions thus received € 40,000 to be distributed, and the Lions have the option of a € 100,000 pot on Sunday.

– The lions set out in search of gold. The goal has not changed anywhere during the trip, Nurminen states.

He will watch the Olympic tournament on the spot in Beijing. Securing the final spot was a great moment.

– Great battle from the Lions. Certainly not the most easy and spectacular game the Lions have played. It was known in advance that a really difficult match is coming, Nurminen says, giving recognition to Slovakia, who has put a lot of effort into it.

– Goalkeeper To Harri Säter, a big hat lift for the defense game and the necessary goals. They went to the Olympic finals, which is the second in Finnish history.

The first was in 2006, when Sweden was a better goal. Finland also won Olympic silver in 1988, but then the medals were decided on the basis of the series and the actual final has not yet been played.
