The Laarhove district in Zuidlaren will also receive a brand new cycle path

The newly built Laarhove residential area in Zuidlaren will have a cycle path on the east side. The Tynaarlo municipal council reserves a quarter of a million euros for this.

This money is needed, among other things, to purchase a piece of land between roughly the Prins Bernhardhoeve site and Osbroeken in Zuidlaren. This is currently agricultural land, but the municipality of Tynaarlo has already made ‘appropriate agreements’ with the owner of the land about its sale.

The municipality is extending the so-called ‘Hunze axis’ by constructing a cycle path. This green zone should connect the center of the village with Laarhove and the adjacent Tusschenwater.

The full council agreed to the purchase of a total of five thousand square meters of land. The municipality is still investigating whether a contribution from the province of Drenthe and the Groningen-Assen region is also possible.
