Interestingly, Vedder also played “The Waiting” with Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell’s band Dirty Knobs at the same festival. In the past, Vedder has performed several times with the late Tom Petty and his band.

Sammy Hagar and the Killers play Van Halen hit

As if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, The Killers later welcomed solo artist Sammy Hagar to the stage. The former co-lead singer of Van Halen and former lead of Montrose took turns singing with Flowers on Van Halen’s 1986 hit “Why Can’t This Be Love.”

The Killers covered Bruce Springsteen

The Las Vegas rockers recently performed a live cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire.” This happened during their headlining performance at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in New Jersey in September. This song was played in the context of their setlist following their single “A Dustland Fairytale”, a song from their 2008 album DAY & AGE, which was re-released in 2021 with guest appearances from Springsteen himself.
