As the most popular comic strip family in the country, ‘De Kiekeboes’ is getting a second life after all. With cartoonist Charel Cambré (55) and screenwriter Nix (54), spiritual father Merho – who announced his retirement last summer – finally found the dream successors. “And of course my ‘children’ will look different from now on, but that was precisely my explicit demand for their continued existence.”
