The Russian KHL league team Kunlun Red Star has published a lineup full of Finnish players on Instagram.

Kunlun conjured up a special assembly image as a tribute Teemu Pulkkinen, who became the 17th Finnish player in the club’s history in the fall. Pulkkinen is the only Finn who is still playing in the KHL after Russia invaded Ukraine.

In the club’s Instagram post, warm greetings were sent to the neighboring country.

– We love Finland! Kunlun wrote.

The familiar tone continued on the club’s Telegram account as well.

– Let’s raise a toast and form a symbolic Finland team, Kunlun announced according to the Championat website.

Three women have also played in the ranks of the KHL club from China throughout history, and Kunlun added them to the lineup as well. Susanna Tapani and Michelle Karvinen are pictured in the triple chain and Noora Räty as goalkeeper.
