Some of the former positions that will appear in court belonged to Bartomeu’s board
The judge investigating Barçagate has summoned several former directors of FC Barcelona at the time of Josep Maria Bartomeu to testify for the month of March and May as witnesses, like Marta Plana, Emili Rousaud, Enrique Tombas and Jordi Casamiglia, as well as those responsible for some areas and the author of the PWC audit that exonerated the entity of the irregularities in the contracting of motorization services for social networks. Some of the exalted positions mentioned resigned due to discrepancies with the management that Bartomeu had carried out at the head of Barça.
The togada instructs a case against Bartomeu for alleged unfair administration and corruption between individuals for allegedly having used these jobs to criticize opponents of his board, soccer players and journalists. Also listed as accused are the former head of the presidential cabinet Jaume Masferrer, the former general director Oscar Grau and the former head of legal services Román Gómez-Ponti. Given the need to continue with the proceedings, the magistrate has agreed to extend the investigations for six months, which were to end on January 29.
