No.he last two years, perhaps the most important lesson we learned was understand the value of things. There is no doubt that the pandemic has enabled us to re-evaluate some aspects of life that were taken for granted: being together, traveling, getting to know.
The Italy you didn’t know
It was born with this in mind of recovery of local tourism, “Discover the Italy you didn’t know”a real five-month “Italian Journey” that will lead visitors to the discovery of the beauty of our territory.
The project, which is part of the National Promotion Plan 2020involves all the Italian regions and travel proposals will focus on various assets.
From slow to active tourism
The first will be that of “Italian villages and landscapes, identity, style, quality of life“Led by Emilia Romagna.
II according to the “Slow tourism: walks, food and wine, art, cultural heritage“Led by Umbria. And, finally, the “Active tourism: biking, boating, Nordic walking and outdoor activities for summer and winter“Led by the Marche.
In a nutshell, for once, the Italian Regions all together place themselves as a single entity capable of carrying out a coordinated unitary promotion on the national market, strengthened by the knowledge of the riches of their respective territories even in the hitherto less known aspects.
The Italy you didn’t know, the goals
To intercept more and more visitors, both Italian and foreign, through all the different tourist, cultural, food and wine potentials of our country, even the lesser known ones. This is the purpose of the initiative.
And so, in the coming months, a national and interactive map will also be created with textual information and graphic materials of 1000 Italian villages and landscapes.
And as regards, instead, the “slow tourism “, a constantly growing trend that fills the soul and allows you to explore certain places with awareness, finding authenticity and a network of relationships, paths and routes will be enhanced with an eye to families. Also in this case, the goal is to promote the Cammini d’Italia product.
Active tourism in Italy
But not only that: because Italy is also that country that can be actively lived. This is why the idea is also to propose it in an outdoor key, in a way to enhance some sports activities practicable at the level of naturalistic / experiential tourism. The focus will be mainly on three Italian “specialties”.
First of all, the Streets of the Sea to enhance Italy seen from the sea thanks to interregional itineraries and nautical routes, connecting various ports and tourist landings, to discover the gastronomic cultural tourism excellence of the coastal hinterland.
And then, the routes of the bike to systematize territorial and interregional routes with a series of services designed specifically for the needs of those traveling on two wheels. And finally the Routes of Nordic Walkingbuilding a network of unique routes that touch all regions to be crossed in Nordic walking mode.
