A criminal case under the article on violation of safety rules during construction work, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons, was initiated after the death of construction workers in outskirts of Moscow.
As the employees of the Investigative Committee, investigating the circumstances of the emergency, found out, the night before in the village of Selyatino, Naro-Fominsk urban district, five workers were installing the structure in the immediate vicinity of the building of the shopping center under construction.
For an unknown reason, a collapse occurred during earthworks. As a result of the incident, everyone who was in the trench was injured – two people died on the spot, three more injured were taken to the hospital.
The course of the investigation of the criminal case was taken under control by the regional prosecutor’s office.
