The influx of visitors collapses the accesses to the Sau reservoir

The influx of visitors has collapsed this Monday the accesses to the sau swamp, in the region of Osona (Barcelona). As a consequence of the accumulation of drought and the extremely hot temperatures of recent months, the church bell tower which is usually under the water of the reservoir has been completely exposed.

This situation has caused hundreds of onlookers to come this weekend to Vilanova de Sau to visit the famous swamp and the remains of the old town. In fact, as indicated by the Catalan Transit Servicethe number of visits has been so high that both yesterday and today the accesses have collapsed and the car parks have been filled.
