Big disappointment for Borussia Dortmund: After losing the Champions League last year, Borussia have now also been eliminated from the Europa League – and that at the end of February, in the round of 16.
After the 2:4 in the first leg in Dortmund, the 2:2 in Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium wasn’t enough to get through. BVB conceded a total of six goals in the first and second leg. In Scotland, too, it was the defenders in particular who did not live up to their expectations. But the offensive wasn’t in the best of moods either, too many players disappeared. In particular, there was not much to see from captain Marco Reus.
