About five houses in Lo-Reninge are surrounded by water. The IJzer once again overflowed its banks due to the heavy showers of the past week. The water is not yet entering the houses, but garages and basements are taking a heavy hit and are flooded. The pumps still in Nieuwpoort do not appear to be powerful enough to quickly pump the water into the North Sea. And so the Westhoek has its feet in the water again.
