A business survey by Embuild, the sector federation of Belgian construction companies, shows that companies active in the construction of new homes and home renovation are in a gloomy mood. Nearly two-thirds of home builders (63 percent) also expect that 2024 will be even worse, resulting in a decline in investments, activity and profitability. For companies that do home renovation, this concerns just under half (46 percent).
