Actor who will host the Oscar gala this year Amy Schumer has publicly expressed its hope that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi would take part in the biggest gala of the year via video or satellite call.
The Oscar gala will be held on March 27th. The gala will be hosted by Schumer with the actor Wanda Sykes as well as an actor Regina Hall. This is the 94th Oscar Gala.
Schumer says he has expressed a wish to the gala producers that Zelenskyi will take part in the evening’s show.
– I think there is pressure to say, “This is a holiday, let people forget even for one night.” But I think it’s also worth thinking, “This show is watched by so many pairs of eyes and listened to by so many people,” Schumer says. Drew Barrymoren in the next section of the discussion program.
– I suggested it and said that I would like Zelensky to be a guest by satellite, video or some other similar means, because there are so many pairs of eyes looking at Oscars.
However, the presenter pointed out that it is not his job to design the content of the gala, so he can only hope that the wish will be met.
– However, I’m not the one producing the Oscars.
While there will probably be a joyful evening ahead, Schumer hopes there will be room for more serious topics at the long gala.
– I think this is a great opportunity to even mention a few things. I also have a few jokes in mind that bite into the current state of the world.
“There are so many nasty things going on in the world right now that it’s hard to choose what to focus on,” Schumer continues.
The Oscar Gala will be held this year in Las Vegas, Nevada.
