Scottish artist Lewis Capaldi, 26, returned to the stage at the Glastonbury festival in Britain. Capaldi had previously canceled his June gigs due to mental health reasons.

Among other things Someone You Loved – and Before You Go – the singer-songwriter, known for his hits, brought up his recent struggles in the middle of the show. The man’s gig at the Glastonbury festival did not go without problems. For example, he regretted losing his voice.

– We’ll play two more songs, if that’s okay, even though I can’t sing properly. I’m very sorry. You’ve all come here and my voice is failing, Capaldi said at the gig, according to The Guardian.

The man also admitted that he was nervous in front of a huge crowd.

– Words fail me. I’m pissing my pants right now. There’s a lot of people here, Capaldi stated.

The artist also told the audience that he will probably leave the limelight again. He said that he may not appear in public for the rest of the year. The audience was on Capaldi’s side during the show and cheered the musician, even though the artist himself regretted his situation.

– Glastonbury, I’m very sorry. I’m a bit annoyed with myself, Capaldi stated at one point after his voice broke.

Capaldi revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome. The syndrome includes tic symptoms, i.e. fast and involuntary movements and vocalizations. Capaldi has said that his dominant symptom has been particularly shoulder twitching. Pop star Billie Eilish has also talked about her Tourette’s syndrome.
