The history of the barbecue grills of the National Team in Qatar

One of the things that are never lacking in the Argentine soccer teams are barbecues. Without going any further, the AFA brought 2,630 kilos of meat so that the players can live every day in Qatar as if they were on the Ezeiza property. And, also, they traveled with a special mega grill that was acquired through a tender that won J.L. Firesthe brand that was born in 2018, after its owner, Julian Lanzillottaas a hobby, decided to make one for personal use but that had several functions, according to your taste.

Manu Ginobili, Marcelo D’Alessandro, Rodrigo De Paul, Palermo and Battaglia, Among other athletes, they have in their homes one of the 15 different multifunction models that Lanzillotta currently manufactures. But the biggest challenge was when the AFA contacted him to propose that he do a project (which he participated against others) to do the grill that they would take to Qatar. But they did not want any of the complex models but a more conventional one made to order by the cheff of the Selection, Diego Iacovone.

There were ten companies that presented their proposal and the one from the suburbs was the one that won. “I really couldn’t believe it, but there wasn’t much time to celebrate because you had to work against the clock. I would arrive at the factory at 9 a.m. and leave at 11 p.m. to be able to deliver them in a timely manner,” Lanzillotta recounted. Who also recognized great emotion when a few days ago some of the players made posts on Instagram with the grills in full action.

How did you go from doing one as a hobby to being the most chosen of athletes? “One day it occurred to me to do something different for the house fund. I thought of something with wheels to move it according to the wind and to be multifunctional. This is how the first one was born, ”said the creator from his factory in Moreno. The model was so versatile and multifunctional that it immediately attracted attention. Without going any further, the second was made for him. club Mariano Moreno, where he attends, and many partners began to ask who had made it. Immediately they began to receive messages asking for a similar one. What she never imagined was that, 5 years later he would have a factory with 40 employees and would sell about 400 grills per month.

Then it was the boys from Locos x el Asado and then the footballers arrived.

The first experience was with Andrés D’Alessandro and his brother. But everything exploded when the Funes Mori brothers bought several and uploaded several stories to their Instagram, showing the new acquisitions. “Just that day I was traveling to Italy, on vacation with my family, and thousands of messages began to arrive.
