The Italian Top 50 pizza jury again chose the world’s 50 best pizzerias. Helsinki-based Forza, which fell to number 86 on the list of the 100 best pizzerias last year, is already number 45 this year.

In addition, Forza won in the category of deep-fried fritters.

In the spring, the 50 best pizzerias in Europe were announced, and Forza was ranked seventh. On the same list, Luca from Helsinki is 31st and 450 degrees from Turku is 35th.

Then Luca Platania commented to Iltalehte about Forza’s placement:

– Forza is a restaurant that offers the customer “something more” than what pizzerias usually offer.

According to Platania, a successful pizza requires experience, high-quality flour and ingredients, and good ovens. The list is long and all areas must be balanced with each other.

The title of the world’s best pizzeria is shared by the Italians 10 Diego Vitagliano and I Masanielli.

It has not been possible to register for the competition, but in the competition anonymous inspectors go around pizzerias around the world like Michelin inspectors.

Forza changed owners at the beginning of August, because Luca and Salla-Maria Platania sold the restaurant they founded in 2022 to Olo Collection.
