The head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine asked the head of Apple to disconnect the Russians from the AppStore

Mikhail Fedorov explained that such actions will encourage the youth and activists of Russia to oppose Moscow’s “military aggression”

Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov turned to Apple CEO Tim Cook and asked him to disconnect Russians from the AppStore. Screenshots of Cook’s letters in English and Ukrainian Fedorov posted in your Telegram channel.

He also asked Cook to support US sanctions and stop Russian products from being uploaded to the Apple app store.

The minister’s letter states that “modern technology is perhaps the best answer to tanks, missile systems and projectiles.” “We are confident that such actions [отключение от AppStore] will motivate the youth and the active population of Russia to actively oppose the shameful military aggression,” the minister wrote.

On Thursday, Promvyazbank applications were removed from the AppStore, which had previously been subject to US sanctions. The bank had three applications and they all disappeared from the store. Also, the applications were not available in the Google Play Store.
