The head of a state enterprise subordinate to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation was detained at the Moscow airport on suspicion of major fraud.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Media, the detainee is charged with fraud with the company’s car fleet. According to the investigation, from 2018 to 2021, the attacker, through an appraisal organization, underestimated the cost of cars by 90% of their real market value, then the cars went on sale at their actual price.
The difference in the cost of the car was assigned. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, we are talking about almost 200 cars owned by a state-owned enterprise and located in different regions of Russia. The preliminary damage from the crime amounted to more than 25 million rubles.
A criminal case has been initiated, the issue of the arrest of the detainee is being decided. Law enforcement agencies did not name the person involved in the case. Earlier, news agencies reported that he was the head of the Federal Energy Service Company, subordinate to the Ministry of Energy, Nikolai Myagkikh.
