Besides The Haunted Youth are also Amelie Siba (Czech Republic), CMAT (Ireland), eee gee (Denmark), Goldkimono (Netherlands), Hause Plants (Portugal), Jerry Heil (Ukraine), July Jones (Slovenia), Kids Return (France ), Koikoi (Serbia), Monikaze (Lithuania), Oska (Austria), Queralt Lahoz (Spain), Sans Soucis (Italy) and schmyt (Germany) nominated. The presentation of the Music Moves Europe Awards will follow on Thursday 19 January 2023 during Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen. The fifteen nominees will also give a performance there.
Five artists will be chosen as the winner by an international jury and one artist will win the Grand Jury Prize. Last year it was the Belgian singer-songwriter Meskerem Mees who won the main prize. That honor had previously been reserved for sounding names such as Stromae, Adele, Dua Lipa or Rosalia. There is also a public award: you can vote for it via www.musicmoveseuropeawards.eu. All fifteen nominees will certainly be offered a ‘business education day’, where they will learn the tricks of the trade and the ins and outs of the music industry.
