Tom Felton was only 14 years old when he made his breakthrough as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.
However, a promising career took a turn for the worse when Felton’s drinking got out of control.
Felton says in his book that at first he was not interested in drinking at all, but soon the situation was that he was drinking beer and whiskey every day.
Felton also started using drugs. After his mental health problems worsened, Felton’s girlfriend and manager checked him into rehab in Malibu.
The actor ran away from the hospital on the very first day, but was caught and taken back to the hospital.

Felton was soon given his go-ahead from weaning when he was found on the women’s side.
Felton got a dog named Willow, and thought the dog would help him dry, but to no avail. He checked into rehab again.
– I can honestly say that it was the hardest decision I have ever made. It was an important moment when I realized that I needed help.
In the end, the withdrawal was over. Now 35, Felton wants to help other addicts seek help.
