Alastair Stout – Ron Weasley
Alastair Stout, who slips into the role of Ron Weasley, is the most unknown in the trio – but no less promising as a young actor. The young Brit previously performed in a nationally broadcast commercial for Jersey Royal Potatoes and was represented by his agency Urban Talent. The new Harry Potter series from HBO is announced as a faithful adaptation. It is produced by Francesca Gardiner (“His Dark Materials”) and Mark Mylod (“Succession”), both of whom act as executive producers. JK Rowling himself is also involved as a producer.
The filming with the new “Harry Potter” main actors is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025, and a series start is planned for 2026. HBO Max will exclusively stream the series worldwide.
