The Hague is licking wounds after a grim evening by unruly Eritreans: 4 police officers injured, several arrests

At least four police officers were injured during large-scale riots around a meeting of the Eritrean community in The Hague on Saturday evening. The police say they have made several arrests. Rioters marched through the streets for hours, setting fire to police cars, passenger cars and a tour bus. The Opera hall center has been set on fire. riot police vans were pelted and suffered significant damage. A total of four officers were injured. Mayor Van Zanen calls the rioters’ violence against the police ‘horrible’.
