The Great Recapte manages to raise as much food as in 2022 in a year marked by price inflation

One more year, ‘The Great Recapture‘has managed to fulfill its great solidarity objective in one of the most difficult years for collect food due to price inflation.

Thanks to citizen collaboration and the participation of more than 18,000 people throughout the weekend in the more than 2,100 food collection points, according to the first estimate of the solidarity entity, it has been achieved accumulate a figure of food products similar to that of 2022.

After a triage phase, these foods will be sent to the headquarters of the Banc dels Aliments de la Zona Franca, from where they will be distributed, as usual, among the social entities (about 650 throughout Catalonia) that serve people in vulnerable situations of our environment.

In the next few days, the financial amount raised through donations will be known, which is the other means of financing that the Banc has and offers to people who want to collaborate in this solidarity cause.
