Next November 19 and 20 comes a new edition of Great Fund 7 Lakesthe recognized competence of road cycling and mountain biking will unite the beautiful cities of San Martin de los Andes with Villa La Angostura. More than 2,700 cyclists come from all over Argentina and Latin America to be part of this magical and challenging course.
The Elite category has two stages: one is the 12km “Chrono” Stage, it stands out that it is given for the first time in Patagonia, and it is a road cycling modality, where they must complete it in the shortest possible time, a journey separately from the other participants. And that time will be added to that of the second stage of 110 km.
Year after year, the Great Fund 7 Lakes It has three modalities: Road cycling, E-Bike and Mountain Bike and the distances to be traveled will be 110 and 50 kilometers. As they will also compete in Adapted Cycling and Tandem.
As a preview, for lovers of this sport, on Friday the 18th, at 6:00 p.m., there will be a Cycling Clinic at the Hotel Loi Suite in Chapelco Golf with professionals who will give talks related to this exciting sport. They are open to the public, but with limited spaces. Place reservations must be made by email to [email protected]
The event will also feature ExpoBici, which will be held on November 18 and 19 at the Club Lacar. There, brands and companies related to sports and cycling will exhibit news and launches; and/or sell their products and services to all visitors.
The route of the participants will be along National Route 40 in its entirety and security will have the support of the National Gendarmerie, Police, Road Safety Agency and organization personnel. And the squad of cyclists will be controlled and directed by mobile phones (at the top and closing after the last participant). And there will be controls at each crossroads to ensure free passage and without interference for competitors.
The Big backyard Its objective is to create an environment for all people who are passionate about sports, adventure, life in the open air and nature to participate. For this reason, on the route of the 7 Lakes the following lakes coexist in delicate harmony: Lácar, Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Espejo, Correntoso and Nahuel Huapicontained by Lanín and Nahuel Huapi National Parkswhich also protect streams, waterfalls, valleys and mountains.
