The governor of Santa Cruz will not pay Alicia Kirchner’s salary settlement

The governor of Santa Cruz, Claudio Vidal, announced that he will not pay the salary settlement to former governor Alicia Kirchner or her team. The measure is taken in the midst of the adjustments proposed by Javier Milei at the national level and with the concept that the “caste” and not the people should be in charge of the situation.

“I have decided not to pay the settlement to former governor Alicia Kirchner, her cabinet and part of her team,” Claudio Vidal wrote on Twitter. And he argued: “If there is no money for the people, there is no money for those who got rich from politics. Little by little we will put everything in order.”

On August 14, Kirchnerism lost the governorship in Santa Cruz. Vidal, former national deputy and general secretary of the oil union, won the elections with more than 46% against the 43% that the Union for the Homeland lists obtained, in a province that retains the motto law.

Almost two weeks after taking office, Vidal crossed Kirchner. And he made an announcement that went viral on the networks: there will be no salary settlement for Alicia and her office.
