The Government will authorize this Tuesday in the Council of Ministers to a “single advance payment” of the distribution of 483.2 million euros to the autonomous communities for the financing of the agreed level of Dependency Law, sources from the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda have informed Europa Press.
In the past financial year 2021, it was necessary to carry out several payments to each autonomous community. However, in order to “expedite the effective transfer of said credits”, the General State Budget Law for the year 2022 has provided for the possibility of “making a single advance payment of up to the total amount of the amount foreseen in the respective agreement”.
The Government already approved, on July 19, the territorial distribution of the agreed level of dependency between the autonomous communities and the criteria for the distribution of credits for an amount of more than 483 million euros to finance care for people in situations of dependency.
Specifically, Andalusia will receive 89.6 million for invest in the agreed level of Dependencyfollowed by Madrid with 67.3 million, Catalonia with 60.2 million, Castilla y León (46.6 million), Comunidad Valenciana (43.1 million) and Castilla-La Mancha (31.9 million).

Meeting in Brussels
On the other hand, the Secretary of State for Social Rights, Nacho Álvarez, will travel to Brussels this Tuesday to meet with the European Commissioner for Labor and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, to who will convey the priorities of the department headed by Ione Belarra with a view to the European presidency of Spain in 2023.
As sources from the Ministry of Social Rights have informed Europa Press, Álvarez will put on the table “The change in the long-term care model and the promotion of family foster care for minors”.
