THE GOOD MOTHERS
Type: dramatic, civil

Courageous, cruel and necessary. The Good Mothers it is a successful operation that revives the tradition of national civil fiction, updating it with the language of the platforms. Courageous because it transforms thick stories into a living taleor forget about the women collaborators of justice capable of challenging the ‘Ndrangheta; cruel because it does not spare the effort and pain of a choice; necessary because it pierces the veil of a drama that is no longer and not only limited to the local level.

Three women for three stories: Denise Cosco (played by Gaia Girace), Lea Garofalo (Micaela Ramazzotti) and Giuseppina Pesce (Valentina Bellè)united by different destinies and a single will: to rebel against the “patriarchal” rules of the criminal organization.

Intertwining the stories and connecting them through the eyes of another woman – the prosecutor Anna Colace (Barbara Chicchiarelli) – the series begins in 2010, with the mysterious disappearance of Lea Garofalo at the hands of her husband.

The Good Mothers it is a journey of introspection into the consciences of invisible women, modern heroines capable of unhinging the gears of a system at the cost of their lives and marginalization. A pain returned by a valuable writing.

To reflect on the dark sides of our recent history and become passionate about stories of courage.
