The Champions League club Union Berlin resorted to the usual panic solution.
The head coach Urs Fischer got the boot after a losing streak of no less than nine league matches. Last year, the anarchist club, which reached the fourth place in the Bundesliga, has been frighteningly reduced to the jumbo of the table.
After that, the club management was ready to jump aside from the traditional path. Of course, a former junnkoutsi was promoted to head coach Marco Grotebut the first woman in league history was appointed alongside her: 32 years old Marie-Louise Eta.
Eta is a former player who won the 2010 Under-20 World Cup for Germany (then called Marie-Louise Bagehorn). At the club level, the best success came in the shirt of Turbine Potsdam, when it conquered not only three consecutive Bundesliga titles but also the Champions League.
Eta ended his career as a Werder Bremen player in 2018.
Against Jensen
Due to the national team break, Eta will not be able to make his debut as a Bundesliga coach until November 25th, when Union will face Huuhkajat at home by Fredrik Jensen of Augsburg.
