The girl and the officer, seventh episode: episode plot and cast

Llove overcomes all obstacles? Basically yes, but in the case of Seyit and Sura, the protagonists of the Turkish series The girl and the officerthe unexpected starts to be a bit too many and the relationship could go into crisis. In the seventh episode – airing tonight at 21.30 on Channel 5 – the two lovers seem closer and closerbut fate continues to upset all plans.

Last week the story ended with the disappearance of Galip (Edip Tepeli), during the party organized by the Baroness Lola (Asli Orcan). Now the plot of the first of the three new episodes starts from what happened immediately after. Seyit (Kivanc Tatlitug) and Sura (Farah Zeynep Abdullah) go in search of useful information about Sura’s family.

When they get back to the hotel, meet Ali (Osman Alkas) and Yahya (Tolga Savaci). These deliver a letter to Seyit, without being discovered by Sura. The sender is Baroness Lolawhich tells Eminof that the weapons they tried to steal have been confiscated. Furthermore, he gives him news of Galip: he has been captured and is now a prisoner.

For Seyit there is a new obstacle to overcome. He has to devise a perfect plan to free Galip, but without arousing suspicion in Sura, as he does not want to cause her further anxieties. Above all, she doesn’t want to put her in danger and chooses to lie to her. Meanwhile Lieutenant Billy arrives at the hotel (Cem Bender). Deliver a letter to Sura, sent by his aunt. The letter has the flavor of an unexpected gift: he discovers that his sister Valentina (Seda Güven) is in Istanbul and can’t wait to finally be able to hug her again.

Episode number 20 sees a tough face-off between Sura and Petro Borinsky (Birkan Sokullu). He try to cast shadows on Seyitbut Sura is stronger than his inferences and she openly tells him that she doesn’t want to play his game. However, the serenity of Verjenskaya is still far away. In the baroness’s house she has glimpsed Seyit, but she does not ask for information in order to avoid further upheavals.

Even Borinsky would like to see clearly, but Lola is adamant and Petro doesn’t get the answers he would like. Meanwhile, Billy summons Riza (Engin Senkan) to collect her cut on alcohol smuggling. She also asks him to increase production and Riza begins to make use of the collaboration of Alya (Demet Özdemir).

That same evening, after a pleasant supper, Sura and Seyit fight. Their relationship begins to show several cracks and, to ease the tension, Seyit goes for a walk with Ali, who invites him to reflect on his relationship. Yahya, then, notices that Güzide changes attitude when it comes to Celil Kamilof (Ushan Çakir) and advises her not to trust him.

The twenty-first episode opens with a romantic proposal. Finally Seyit asks Sura to marry him. She accepts and they immediately rush to the consulate to get the go-ahead. Once again, fate has a hand in it. The lieutenant gives the order to search the hotel. Güzide warns Celil, who physically assaults the lieutenant. At the end of the fight, Celil risks being repatriated.

Seyit learns of what happened and does everything to get the lieutenant to forgive Celil, because he knows that once he is repatriated he would like to be sentenced to death. The lieutenant is inflexible and decides to turn to Baroness Lola, who intercedes by introducing him to the colonel of the English army.

Still, Petro gives Sura a paper clip he found at the pawn shop. It is that of his sister Valentina and for Sura it is a further sign of fate: they are getting closer and closer and soon they will be able to reunite. Furthermore, he reveals the happy news to Petro and Borinsky immediately develops a new plan: he is willing to provide useful information to the lieutenant, as long as he blows up the wedding.
