In the statement made by the DFB, it was stated that the Sports Court rejected Freiburg’s objection, while Bayern Munich could not be held responsible for the presence of 12 people on the field after the substitution made in the 86th minute, and that the match continued with 12 players was due to the fault of the referee.
The statement also shared the information that they have the right to appeal this decision within one day.
Facing Freiburg away on April 2, Bayern Munich made substitutions in the 86th minute. Kingsley Coman’s replacement Marcel Sabitzer will be in the game, while Coman’s back number is not on the sign for the change. For this reason, while Sabitzer was included in the game, Coman did not leave the field and the team remained on the field with 12 people.
The referee Christian Dingert noticed the situation about 20 seconds after restarting the match and stopped the game, and the match was completed after Coman left the field.
Freiburg also objected to the result of the match on the grounds that it was an obvious error of rules.
