Noel 2000 was declared Natural Monument by the Lazio Region and a few years ago the New York Times he called it “the most beautiful and romantic garden in the world”. Finally reopens to visitors an oasis of rare beauty a few kilometers from Rome: The Garden of Nymph.
The Garden of Ninfa reopens
The park, which rises in the province of Latina at the foot of the Lepini mountains, has an area of about 8 hectares and it houses more than 1300 plantsincluding deciduous magnolias, birches, marsh irises and a variety of Japanese maples.
But that’s not all: because here they have also found a perfect habitat more than 100 species of birds among which you can observe the beautiful kingfisher.
All this biodiversity makes it difficult to say when is the best time to visit the garden, why each month presents different blooms and suggestions. In theory, the best thing would be to go there several times at different times.

A female hand behind the Garden of Ninfa
Built in the last century following a major reclamation operation started in 1921 by Gelasio Caetani, the current appearance however is due to Marguerite Chapin, wife of Roffredo Caetani and daughter Leila who continued the work begun by Gelasius. It was they who gave Ninfa the appearance of a romantic English garden.
The opening calendar
The garden of Ninfa will reopen its doors at the beginning of spring and to admire it live, the Roffredo Caetani Foundation which manages this paradise has published the dates available to book the visit.

Online bookings only
The entrance to the Garden of Ninfa it is regulated exclusively by visits by online booking divided into time slots on pre-established days from March to November.
The purchase of entrance tickets at the ticket office will be possible only in case of places available for defections or last minute cancellations.
The visit lasts about an hour and dogs can access the park so long as small size, weighing less than 5 kilos and equipped with a leash (1.5m) and bags for faeces.
