The best games will also be chosen this year. As part of “The Game Awards”, one of the most important award ceremonies in the gaming industry, not only the game of the year but also 30 other categories are honored. The award ceremony will take place on December 8th.
For a long time, the community was puzzled as to when the nominees in the respective categories would be announced at “The Game Awards 2023”. Now the time has come. The best will be chosen in the following categories, among others: “Game of the Year”, “Best Story”, “Best Soundtrack and Music” and many others.
These are the nominees for Game of the Year
The Game Awards have been taking place since 2003. Until 2013, the event ran under the name “Spike Video Game Awards”. The award ceremony has had its current name for ten years now. The producer and presenter of the awards is gaming journalist Geoff Keighley. In addition to various award ceremonies, new titles and trailers will also be presented.

Which game is the most anticipated?
Unpublished titles will also be honored as part of “The Game Awards 2023”. The jury focused on five games that are most hotly anticipated. The community can vote for the following games:

This is how the games were selected
The nominations were made by a jury consisting of around 120 gaming and media companies from all over the world. US, British, Argentinian, German and other gaming portals were involved in the decision.
Fan voting has been taking place recently. To do this, you have to register on the “The Game Awards” website and can then go through the categories one after the other and vote for your favorite.
Where can you watch The Game Awards 2023?
The Game Awards 2023 will be awarded on December 8th. The event will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. You can either be there live or stream the awards ceremony online on over 30 platforms, such as Twitch, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, etc. Last year, over 103 million people streamed the Game Awards.
The time of the stream is rather inconvenient for fans in this country. The show starts at 4:30 p.m. locally (Los Angeles, USA). Due to the time difference of 9 hours, the awards ceremony in Germany starts at 1:30 a.m.
