The future is secured at least until the end of February

For the clothing retailer Aachener, things are continuing despite the insolvency of its operating company TEH Textilhandel GmbH.

Christoph Schulte-Kaubrügger, appointed provisional insolvency administrator by the Dortmund District Court, has so far succeeded, together with the management and the company’s approximately 370 employees, in continuing business operations at all locations existing at the time of the insolvency application, the law firm White & Case Partner announced last week. The continuation of operations is secured until the end of February, and a concept is currently being developed for the period after that.

“Thanks to the professional cooperation of everyone involved, we have so far been able to achieve better results than initially expected as part of the continuation,” says Schulte-Kaubrügger. “There is also great progress in developing possible restructuring concepts, so we are optimistic that we can offer the company a long-term perspective.”

In addition to the existing Aachener branches that were already open at the time of bankruptcy, four more stores have been opened since December in the former premises of the department store operator Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof in Coburg, Cottbus, Leverkusen and Nuremberg. The fashion retailer currently operates a total of 13 branches.
