Insiders tell the New York Post that Matthew Perry’s Friends co-stars plan to release a joint statement about Perry’s death.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, who starred in Friends alongside Matthew Perry, David SchwimmerMatt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are preparing a joint statement in Perry’s memory, sources say New York Post – for the newspaper. The Frendit cast has so far kept quiet since Perry’s death.
– The actors are devastated by the loss of their brother because that’s what Matty was to them – their brother, an inside source tells the New York Post.
The Frendit actors rose to world fame together with the extremely popular series. During the collaboration that lasted ten seasons, they also created inseparable friendships.
– The actors were close. They are heartbroken because they experienced the best and worst moments together. And when Matty was sick, they protected him and took care of him, the source says.
Aniston in particular became particularly close to Perry. Perry said in her biography that it was Aniston who brought up her substance abuse problem and encouraged her to seek help.
Perry’s family gave Sunday People-magazine with its own statement.
– We are devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world both as an actor and as a friend, the family said in a statement.
Perry was predeceased by his father John Bennett Perryhis mother Suzanne Morrison and his stepfather Keith Morrison. He also had five siblings from his parents’ subsequent marriages.
Perry was not married and had no children of his own.
Perry was found dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on Saturday. After unsuccessful CPR, he was pronounced dead and was not transported to the hospital. Perry apparently died by drowning, but the official cause of death is still unknown at this point.
