German freestyler Michael Smolik says on his YouTube channel that he got seriously ill.
– It’s best to get straight to the point. A few days ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and that means I can’t fight, the 32-year-old combat athlete explains in the video.

Smolik, 32, says the symptoms started two months ago.
– I noticed in the middle of the run that I started to feel dizzy and felt unwell. Then it started happening in training. I thought it was due to the weather and didn’t pay attention to it.
However, the condition took a turn for the worse. Smolik went to the doctor’s office and was sent for an MRI.
– Then I got a diagnosis via Whatsapp that I have a brain tumor.
Still going to the ring
Smolik was supposed to face martial arts influencer Ringlife in a boxing match in Oberhausen on October 14, but the expected fight will now be missed due to unforeseen circumstances.
