Event company KOKO Lahti oy announces that its new CEO and member of the management team has been appointed From Kimmo Kivis. Kivisilta starts in August.

Since 2013, Kivisilta worked as the CEO of Helsinki Halli oy, the former Hartwall arena. He rose to that role when Arena Events oy bought the arena in the same year Hjallis from Harkimo.

The Hartwall arena has been standing empty since the start of the war of aggression started by Russia in Ukraine. A new owner has been sought for the place that used to host hockey matches, concerts and other events, but the stores have not yet been closed.

Iltalehti reported in February that the Russian owners of the hall are most interested in the purchase offer of a foreign entity.

The closing of the Helsinki hall meant that the Helsinki Jokerit, who played their home games there, became homeless. The team, which has a new ownership background, is aiming for Mestis next season and will probably play its matches in Kerava and occasionally in Nordenskiöldinkatu.
