Now that the renovation of the Vilvoorde viaduct has been completed for eight years, industrial engineer Alex Bosmans (62) would like clarity about the macabre story that has been told for the truth since the construction of the bridge. One of the concrete bridge piers is said to still contain the corpse of a worker who fell into it during the concrete pouring in the mid-1970s. “When I drive over the viaduct, that image flashes through my head.
