The location of the Flow festival will change after this year. The festival will announce the matter on its social media channels.
Flow will therefore be organized this year for the last time in Suvilahti, where the festival has been organized since 2007.
– Goodbye, Suvilahti! the festival started its social media updates on Wednesday.
According to the release, the Suvilahti area is undergoing renovation, as a result of which the festival will have to move to a new location.
– Suvilahti is a place we have called home since 2007, but it was not the first (our home) and Flow’s story will continue elsewhere. Where? We’ll let you know after this year’s festival!
In the official announcement, Flow tells about Suvilahti’s importance to the festival even more deeply.
– From the beginning, Flow has respected the unique architecture of the Suvilahti power plant area, making its venue the center of the festival. The lighting, decoration and stage design of the area have always been created emphasizing the special atmosphere of the area and under its conditions. The post-industrial milieu has been an integral part of shaping the spirit of the festival to what it is known today. Over the years, Suvilahti has become an integral part of the Flow festival’s identity, the release states.
