THEZen Buddhism enters the Metaverse. Is called Zen Metaverse and is the first Western Zen platform.
A place perhaps abstract for most but “real”, where real and virtual come together for an immersive experience. Sponsored by the Italian Buddhist Union, it is open to all.
The first Zen monastery of the Metaverse is born
“Meta-realities” are the next frontier in the development of long-distance human relationships, also thanks to artificial intelligence.
Meditation in an increasingly futuristic context should not be surprising, therefore: it is a contemporary approach.
It was the Master Tetsugen Serra, already founder of the first urban monastery in Italy, to pioneer this possibility thanks to a vision in harmony between the earthly and the spiritual.
The first click of the Zen Metaverse, as the space is called, occurred on October 18, 2023.

The project has many purposes.
Studying this new technology, acquire awareness and put it at the service of spreading the Dharma, offer a place to practice to those who cannot reach a meditation center.

A dive into the future, literally, which was initially planned for a maximum of 50 users, but which then saw the registration of 250 people.
How the Metaverse Zen Monastery works
The space in the Metaverse presents itself as a Zen Temple similar to an Agora. With many interactive rooms characterized by three-dimensional graphics, accessible via smartphone, tablet, PC or even with a virtual reality helmet for the most technologically advanced users.
An incredible potential to reach any corner of the country or the world.
Practice, meditate and connect in an oasis of awareness wherever you are.
The first meeting of 2024 will be held on January 10th with a reflection on suffering led by Koren, nun and Dharma teacher and Counselor. The event will be held between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

Where to find the “royal” monasteries
An urban zen experience
The City Zen Monastery “Enso-Ji The Circle”, the first residential monastery in a city, was founded in 1998 by Maestro Tetsugen Serra – Milanese trained in Tokyo – together with the Zen Shiatsu School;
Over the years the community of Il Cerchio has been enriched with five other Zen Centers scattered throughout Italy: the Zen mountain hermitage “Sanbo-Ji Temple of the Three Jewels” in Berceto, OraZen in Veneto, the Gyosho Zen Center in Cecina, the Ten Shin Zen Center in Naples and the Unsui Zen Center in Pesaro.
In addition to meditation activities and Zen practice, there are many accessible services: counseling activities, Zen hospitality, courses, masters and workshops accessible through the dharma-academy.it, the first Buddhist education portal.
