In early autumn, it was reported that Dad can handle it series is being made into a movie. The release date is 2024.

The original actors return to their original roles Tom Lindholm (father), Tuija Ernamo (Mum), Maiju Jokinen (Jonna) and Jarno Jokinen (Jussi). There are also new faces.
In the film, the family’s children have grown to middle age and the parents are in retirement, but nothing has changed in their peculiar dynamics, unshakable personalities and stubborn ways. Everyday life also feels strangely familiar, when Jonna and Jussi find themselves in the familiar house of frontmen with their father and mother. Jonna’s son Junnu fits into the picture almost too naturally.
Dad can handle it series was made in 1994. According to Lindholm, there seemed to be a demand for the film, as he repeatedly received feedback about the series for nearly 30 years.
