The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Florida Panthers in the fourth final 3–2 and already have a potentially decisive match on their home court. The Panthers, who won the previous final, were immediately chasers in the match. There was only a minute and a half to play in the opening set, when defenseman Aaron Ekblad skated in for a substitution at a dangerous moment. Vegas’ Zach Whitecloud cleverly turned the situation to his advantage and sent Chandler Stephenson through. The Knights center scored the opening goal from the lap of Russian striker Sergei Bobrovski.
