The Finnish skiers in the opening stages of the World Championships were announced

The choices for sprint and skiathlon are not surprising.

Finland has announced its first skiers for the World Championships in Planica.

The selections made for the sprint and skiathlon competitions are not big surprises. The Niskanen siblings will skip the quick jumps, focusing on the medal fight in the combined race of traditional and freestyle. The same decision was made Krista Pärmäkoski regarding.

Anne Kyllönen is the only Finnish athlete who competes both on Thursday in the sprint and on Saturday in the skiathlon. The men’s skiathlon will be skied on Friday.

Planica’s World Cup competitions start on Wednesday with pre-qualifications. The racing season of Finland and other top countries starts properly on Thursday.
