Coming off a breakout season with the Arizona Coyotes Juuso Välimäki married his longtime girlfriend a week ago Vilman with. The couple got engaged in June 2021.
The wedding couple organized a love-filled celebration at a wonderful location on the Greek island of Santorini. Välimäki shared photos from an unforgettable day on social media.
In addition to traditional ceremonies, the wedding program included fireworks and live music. The guests were also entertained with Abba songs suitable for the Greek paradise islands.
It is not a big surprise that more than one hockey player had received the wedding invitation. The guest list included, among others, a member of the New Jersey Devils’ player list Santeri Hatakkateammate Janis Jérôme Moser as well as the Coyotes forward who recently signed a new NHL contract Matias Maccelli.
The Swiss Moser had also been used in Finland during the summer. The defender visited Ruisrock in the stands accompanied by his team mate.
Honeymoon to a holiday island
The week after the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Välimäki went on their honeymoon. Even then, there was enough sun when the couple headed through Ethiopia to the small paradise island of the Seychelles.
The bride shared an atmospheric video of the trip on Instagram. The wedding couple enjoyed sparkling wine on the plane, toured the island by helicopter and enjoyed the sunset under the palm trees.

Juuso Välimäki’s year has therefore been full of joy. Work has also gone well, as the defender became one of the key players of his NHL team during the rest of the season. He played 78 games in the regular season and scored 4+30 in them.
Next season, the player born in 1998 is naturally expected to get more playing responsibility. In the final season, he was the team’s playing time eater along with Moser.
