The Finnish Gunvor has met Victoria more than 10 times – That’s how the crown princess is

Crown Princess Victoria visited Hanasaari in Espoo today.

Crown Princess Victoria started her two-day visit to Finland today. On Wednesday, the crown princess visited Espoo’s Hanasaari cultural center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding agreement of the Swedish-Finnish cultural center.

Iltalehti caught up with cultural influencer and CEO of Hanasaari Gunvor Kronman to tell how the day with Crown Princess Victoria went.

– The day has gone absolutely brilliantly! Victoria is such a natural and warm person and also someone we know. All I can say is that it was a great day, Kronman tells Iltalehte.

Today, Kronman and the crown princess discussed culture, cooperation between Finland and Sweden, and scouts, among other things. They also remembered Victoria’s previous visits to Finland.

Funniest memory

Kronman and Crown Princess Victoria have met more than ten times. According to Kronman, the funniest joint memory between him and the crown princess is related to 2014, when Victoria visited Lahti.

– In my opinion, the funniest memory is from 2014, when Crown Princess Victoria visited Lahti on our Svenska Ny program, where she prepared a shake as a chef by Micke Björklund with in Swedish class! Victoria also remembered this fondly, says Kronman.

Kronman says that Victoria also has good memories of Finland.

Although Crown Princess Victoria is a laid-back royal, according to Kronman, state visits involve a lot of preparation.

– This involves a lot of details and careful preparation. On the other hand, the Nordic royals are also quite relaxed compared to the rest of the world. You can also be yourself.

Kronman reveals that meeting the royals is just as exciting even after years. There is one particular reason for this.

– It’s always about whether you remember to address yourself with the correct title. This time there were no slips, so to speak.

Kronman continues without saying that Crown Princess Victoria would never notice if she was called by the wrong title.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s visit to Finland continues on Thursday. They will visit Loviisa and Vantaa, among others.
