Women’s Park: Trio decides medals among themselves

In the decision-making in the Park discipline, only three riders started among the women. Valeria Ward withdrew her participation at short notice. Lillyana Seidler, Lara Maria Lessmann and Kim Lea Müller also went into the course. Favorite Müller, who has made enormous progress in recent years, prevailed in the end and can therefore look forward to her first German championship title.

Seidler (73.80 points) and Lessmann (80.60) initially showed a safety run in the first round in order to have a solid score first. Müller, on the other hand, went on the offensive a bit more and took the lead with 85.60 points. The only 15-year-old Seidler could not improve in the oppressive temperatures in the second round and remained in third place.

Müller, sixth at the Olympics in Tokyo and last German champion (2019), also made a mistake in the final and was unable to improve on her performance from the first run. So it was clear that Müller had secured the title even before her final run. There, the runner-up of last year’s European Championships showed a show run for the audience.
