What is trampolining?

What is trampolining? Trampolining comes from the USA. Trampoline gymnastics was recognized as an independent sport discipline by the International Gymnastics Federation in 1959. Since then, championships have been held regularly, with the German championships being held every year and the European championships being held every two years. In 2009, the World Championships changed from every two years to an annual rhythm.

Trampoline gymnastics has been part of the Olympic Games program in Sydney since 2000. In 2004, Anna Dogonadze from Bad Kreuznach won Olympic gold for Germany.
