The French luxury goods group LVMH announced the nine finalists of its young talent award on Friday.
The designers and duos that prevailed from 22 candidates in the semifinals are Aaron Esh, Bettter, Burc Akyol, Diotima, Luar, Magliano, Paolina Russo, Quira and Setchu. In total, more than 2,400 young brands and designers from 15 countries have registered, including for the first time from Brazil and Jamaica.
For the last nine creatives, it’s now about the fashion prize – with prize money of 300,000 euros and one-year support from the LVMH team – and the Karl Lagerfeld Prize – with prize money of 150,000 euros and a one-year mentoring program.
There is also a separate prize for students who graduated from a fashion school in 2022. The three winners will each receive 10,000 euros and will be admitted to the design studio of one of the group’s houses for one year.
It is not yet known when the winners will be announced.
