The finalists of the A tournament of the Leekster Indoor Football Gala have been announced

On Friday and Saturday evening, the remaining 16 A teams played in four groups of four teams for a coveted place at the Leekster Indoor Football Gala on Saturday, January 6.

On Friday, eight teams in groups K and L came into action. In group K, both number one HFC ’15 and number two Aduard 2000 achieved six winning points. HFC ’15 won the mutual match 2-0 and also had a slightly better goal difference.

In group L, Roden and Marum were in charge. Both teams won against Zuidlaren and Westerkwartier. However, Roden was superior in the mutual match. The Marum players had to watch passively as Roden made mincemeat of them with a score of no less than 6-1.

Four final places

Last night, the remaining eight teams competed in two groups of four for four final places. VEV ’67 was the strongest in group M. The team from Leek only played a 0-0 draw against second-placed FC Grootegast. Moreover, Grootegast did not get further than a draw against TLC.

There was plenty of tension in group N until the last matches. After two matches, the four teams had each collected three points. In the last two confrontations the decisions had to be made. ONR overcame Oerterp with a score of 9-3 and thus placed first. VAKO achieved a 4-3 victory against Zevenhuizen at the last minute and thus also reached the final as number two in this group.
