The Pelicans, the season’s sensational team, which has made an effort from the fourth place in the regular season, is in the position of a challenger, when the opponent is the reigning Finnish and CHL champion Tappara.
In the first match of the final series, Pelicans gained momentum after their 1–1 tie in the second period, but at the end of it, Tappara scored three goals in less than three minutes. The people of Lahti can no longer afford such dark moments.
